Switch on
Note: Plug the earphones supplied into the headphone socket on
the end of the pocket radio. The earphones also work as the radio
aerial and so these need to be connected when you first switch
your radio on and it scans for DAB radio stations.
1. Slide the power switch on the end of the pocket radio to ‘On’.
‘Welcome to Digital Radio’ will be displayed and your radio
will be in Standby mode. The current time and date will be
displayed.
2. Press and release the ‘Select’ button. Your radio will return to
the mode that was last used in (DAB or FM). If you were listening
to a DAB or FM station before, then this will be automatically
selected.
After a short while, when the radio is playing, the display backlight
will turn off to save battery power, when you press and release any
button the display backlight will turn back on.
Switch off
1. Slide the power switch on the end of the pocket radio to ‘Off’.
The radio and display will switch off.
Time and date
The first time you listen to DAB radio, the time and date of your
product will be synchronised automatically to that broadcast by the
DAB service in 24 hour mode; which is in line with daylight saving,
so there is no need to set the time and date manually.
If you do wish to set the time and date manually, please see
page 18.
