Storage of the batteries
6.1
Decommissioning the uninterruptible power supply for storage purposes
If the uninterruptible power supply is not going to be used for some time, the
power supply unit batteries must be fully charged first to prevent self-discharge
causing damage to them.
Before decommissioning:
1. To charge the batteries, connect the uninterruptible power supply to the input
voltage (115 - 230 V) at least 4 hours before decommissioning.
2. Disconnect the uninterruptible power supply from the mains.
3. Revoke the UPS function enabling (remove the insertable jumper); otherwise,
the load will continue to be supplied by the batteries until the total discharge
protection disconnection function is activated.
If the batteries are being stored for an extended period, they must be recharged
every 6 months.
6.2
Storage of the batteries
Avoid excessive discharge, please observe the following conditions for the stora-
ge of the batteries:
» Store the batteries in a cool, dry room, 10°C - 25°C.
» Never store batteries in direct sunlight.
» Never subject batteries to extreme heat.
