5. descripTiOn OF sysTeM
designated application area 5.1.
The plastic ball valve Type 2657 (referred to below as plastic ball valve)
can be used for shutting off (2-way model) or controlling (3-way model)
media flows in a wide range of industrial applications.
The plastic ball valve is particularly suitable for application conditions
which make high demands in the areas of thermal or vibration loads
and is also suitable for applications which use aggressive media.
general description 5.2.
The plastic ball valve for shutting off media flows is available in
various models and materials for a wide range of applications.
The plastic ball valve features a Dual Block locking device.
The Dual Block locking device allows the union nuts of the bolted-on
plastic ball valve to be locked in a specific position. The locking
device then holds the union nuts securely in position for a wide
range of application conditions (vibrations or thermal expansion).
The Dual Block locking device allows clockwise rotations only.
On request the plastic ball valve can be supplied complete
with a pneumatic drive (Types 2658, 8805) or an electric
drive (Type 8804).
