
B R E ATHING AIR REQUIREMENTS
Air Quality
The Free-Air pump’s inlet air filter MUST be
located in a place where there is clean,
breathable air at all times.
The breathable air drawn into the Inlet Filter
must meet at least the requirements for Type
1 gaseous air described in the Compressed
Gas Association Commodity Specifications
G-7.1 (Grade D or higher), as specified by
Federal Law 30 CFR, Part 11, Subpart J,
11.121 (b).
The requirements of Grade D breathable air
include:
- Oxygen......................................19.5 - 23.5%
- Hydrocarbons (condensed)

- No Toxic contaminants at levels which would
