Wiring diagram for the coaxial antenna
NOTE
: In order to receive the radio channels correctly the type of antenna used must be selected:
if the F500N is installed in an area of the building with sufficient signal, the wire antenna can be
used. If the signal inside the building is not sufficient, the external antenna can be used (e.g. an-
tenna installed on the roof), with the coaxial connector and the appropriate adapter cable. The
type of antenna is selected using the configurator.

Maximum and minimum levels to be guaranteed at the antenna socket for correct
reception of the FM band.

System for cable distribution of television signals with connection to the FM antenna through
dedicated connection, or FM antenna system only, in accordance with CEI-EN-50083.

Failure to observe the signal levels described in point B may affect the reception properties of the
audio signal and the RDS signal.

Installation
1 -
Make sure that the Tuner is disconnected from the BUS.

Configure the device.

Install the device on the DIN rail in a position where positioning of the wire antenna is easy.

In order to use the coaxial antenna, connect the type F connector of the adapter cord to exter-
nal receiving devices (local antennas or antenna systems) and the MCX connector to the ANT
terminal as shown in the connection diagram.

Connect the Tuner to the BUS as described in the “Connection to the scs bus and configuration”
section.

Switch ON the BUS.
