5 SWITCHING THE SYSTEM ON
5.1 STARTING UP THE SYSTEM
When all 8 contacts are being used (burglary or technical, depending on the tables on
chapter 4), with the burglary ones normally closed, and the technical alarms normally
open, the Alarms Notification Module is already ready for use.
Should this not be the case, complete the following starting up procedure:
•
Connect all contacts that will be used, and leave the others open;
•
Move all burglary and technical fault sensors to the idle position;
•
Switch on the device. This will cause all contacts to activate (burglary contacts will
normally be closed, while the technical alarms will normally be open).
•
Enter “
P
”+
12345
. The “
P
” LED will turn red;
•
By pressing the “
P
” key for 5 seconds, the “
P
” key LED will turn orange and will start
flashing (starting of the set up stage);
•
The LEDs of each normally closed channel will come on for one minute, while those for
the normally open channels will stay off (or not connected);
•
By pressing the “
P
” key, the LEDs will go off and the procedure can continue. The op-
eration can be cancelled by pressing any key.
•
The ”
P
” key stays orange, but stops flashing;
•
Activate all connected contacts (open the magnetic contacts, cross the IR coverage
area, simulate technical alarm conditions etc.). When each input is activated, the
relevant LED will come on, to indicate that is being handled by the device. Once all
activations have been completed, the user will have an indication of all active inputs.
Press the relevant key to enable an input.
•
Press the “
P
” key. The “
P
” key LED turns green again (end of the installation procedure
- system disarmed);
•
Press the
0
key;
•
Check that all desired inputs have been activated (burglary and technical faults).
5.2 RESETTING THE DEVICE
Should any errors occur, connect the power supply by pressing the “
P
” key for 10 sec-
onds (during which the “
P
” key led will become red and start flashing slowly).
After 10 seconds the “
P
” key LED will become orange, and continue flashing, indicat-
ing that the status of the inputs and saved transponders have been deleted and that
the factory set user code has been reinstated.
The setting up procedure for the codes and the transponders can be found in the User Manual.
