The layout of the electric systems
within the building entails the need
for grouping in one central point all
the active (power supplies, interfaces,
telephone switchboards, etc ) or
passive devices for the control and
the management of all the functions
This location is effectively the "brain"
of the whole home automation
system of the building Its size shall
be defined taking into account the
following general requirements:
allow for extra space for expansion
using new devices that may be
needed for future requirements
install the power supplies in the
lower position of the switchboard
in order to facilitate thermal
dissipation;
the switchboard must be capable
of dissipating a power higher than
the sum of the powers dissipated
by all the devices it will hose
