It should be noted that water boilers may well
need chemical treatment for the first filling
plus additional periodic chemical treatment,
depending on system water losses and the
makeup requirements.
All water introduced into the boiler should be
softened and should include an oxygen
scavenger like sodium sulfite. This is required
to remove dissolved oxygen from the water.
Dissolved oxygen will cause severe system
corrosion.

cover problems caused by oxygen
contamination of boiler water.

cover problems caused by scale build-up.
When using Glycol products, all Glycol
manufacturers’ requirements, including
rust inhibitors, must be adhered. Max
50% Glycol.
WARNING
Chemicals used in treating boiler water
are toxic and/or harmful. Always use
protective clothing and equipment when
working with/near chemicals. Contact
local authorities to determine if treated
boiler water can be discharged into local
waste water system.
