PULSE Front-end Setup
.
The setup program works with named configurations of front-ends/frames. Each configuration
contains information about the type of front-end, the PC and front-end IP addresses, and the
synchronization of front-ends (when the front-end consists of multiple frames).
Note:
The setup program executes each step in the configuration when
Next
is clicked
at the bottom of a page. This means that if you go
Back,
the changes have already been
made!
The setup program starts with Fig.2.6:

First-time PULSE
installation
The ‘Factory configuration’ listed is the pre-installed factory defaults described above (see
section 2.7.1). Before a first-time configuration begins, you should know what type of net-
work connection is required (see section 2.3.1) in order to decide whether the default ‘Fac-
tory configuration’ should be accepted, or whether alterations should be made.
On the PULSE Front-end Setup page there are 5 operations that can be performed:
•
Set the IP address for the PC
•
Define a new configuration
•
Reconfigure an existing configuration
•
Delete an existing configuration
•
Connect to an existing configuration
