Carefully open Type 2238, noting carefully the routing of the cables.
3.2.1
How to Open and Lock the SMD Connectors for Ribbon Cables
To remove a ribbon cable, use your fingernails to move the ends of the support bar
approx. 1 mm backward simultaneously. The ribbon cable can then be disconnected
(direction A).
To reassemble, put the ribbon cable fully into the connector with the conducting
side facing up. Use your nails to press the ends of the support bar simultaneously
(B). Check that the middle of the support bar is fully pressed in, otherwise press on
the middle by a suitable tool.

Filter Set Upgrade
With Type 2238 opened, turn the analog board (item 38) over to expose the 16 - pin
female connector. Carefully position the Octave Filter (item 34) over the connector,
and press into place. Follow the instructions in

3.4
Reassembly
When you reassemble Type 2238 the following hints might be useful:
Note the guide for item 3 in the Bottom PC/ABS Shell.
Place the Digital Board in the Top PC/ABS Shell before the two Shells are assembled.
Make sure that no wires are squeezed or scratched by the metallic inner surface.
Take care with the wires from the display.
Make sure that all the “teeth" on the Top PC/ABS Shell are inside the Bottom Shell.
Remount the special nut before remounting the two screws in the battery compart-
ment.
