Needle Types and Sizes
All needles have a LONG groove on one side and a SCARF on the other.
With very few exceptions industrial machine needles are round shanks at the top of the
needle .
The points however, vary according to the types of material you may want to sew or
even more important is the capability of your machine to sew a particular product.
EG:
Leather machines
usually utilise a cutting point such as a narrow wedge or triangular tip
Textiles machines
mainly use round tips, but if you are using your machine for more that
one style of material you must be aware that your needle is as equally important as your
thread.
