  Reassembling Notes

•

When reinstalling the main PCB, make sure that the harnesses are routed on the main
cover as illustrated in Section 1.23.

•

For the MFC6550MC/7550MC/7650MC/9500 which has a nickel-hydrogen battery on the
main PCB, be sure to remove the battery from the PCB when transporting the PCB.  Fail-
ure to do so may result in a short circuit, overcurrent flow, and fire.

When installing the nickel-hydrogen battery on the main PCB, bring its edge into contact
with the surface of the PCB and attach it to the interface plate 5 mm inwards from the
plate edge as shown below.

•

For the MFC4550plus/7650MC, if you replace the main PCB with a new one, be sure to
install the update data onto the flash ROM of the new main PCB (refer to Chapter 

II

).
