Note: Battery capacity calculation must be carried out. Failing to use the correct
battery capacity will void the compliance to AS3786:2014.

Termination of EIB650iWX or EIB603CX Alarms
The new Smoke EIB650iWX and Heat EIB603CX Alarms are to be plugged in the
interface base BAX16 which consists of SUB1012, adapter board SUB1005, ribbon
cable and extended plastic base. Figure 8 below shows the complete BAX16.
Note: The smoke alarm heads will never show a battery low condition because it
draws power from the panel.
The interface card will automatically detect alarm head type of either EIB650iWX or
EIB603CX upon system initialisation and supply power them accordingly.
EIB650iWX requires 3VDC and EIB603 requires 9VDC

The interface card in BAX16 will automatically detect alarm head type of either
EIB650iWX or EIB603CX upon system initialisation and supply the required power
accordingly. EIB650iWX requires 3VDC and EIB603 requires 9VDC.
