5. Final Installation Activities

This section describes the remaining activities that are performed to complete the
system installation.

5.1. Card

Installation

Figure 9 shows the positions of cards in a typical configuration for a BroadAccess
CAG40D-MIN. Card configurations vary according to the configuration of your
system.

The following types of cards must be installed in a cage:

•

Power

•

Control

•

Transmission

•

Service

Install the cards as explained in the

Card Installation Overview

and in the

installation instructions for each of the cards, which are supplied with the
BroadAccess Service Manual. Power up the system only after all cards and
accessories have been installed.
