Allegion AD400 Configuration Guide
Configuring Allegion Hardware
Overview of Configuration Process
1.
Download the latest firmware from the HHD to the PIM400-485 per the instructions in the Schlage Utility
Software Guide.
2.
Configure the PIM400-485 for communication with the AD400 Wireless Locks and ACS300 or ACS6000
control panels.
3.
Download the latest firmware from the HHD to the AD400 Wireless Locks.
4.
Configure the AD400 Wireless Locks for communication with the PIM400-485 unit.
5.
Configure Brivo Onair to communicate with the PIM400-485 unit and manage the AD400 Wireless Locks.
Couple the PIM400-485 unit to the Hand Held Device (HHD)
1.
Connect the HHD to the PIM400-485 using the HH-USB cable. The PIM400-485 will be displayed on the HHD
screen.
2.
Open the Schlage Utility Software (SUS). The default username is administrator and password is 123456.

Select Device Options

When the password window appears, do not select anything.
3.
On the PIM400-485 press and hold the LINK 1 button. Then press the LINK 2 button three times.
4.
In the SUS, select Couple HHD to Device.
5.
When Coupling is successful, a message will be displayed on the HHD screen.
Update the PIM400-485 firmware
1.
Select Device Options.
2.
Update firmware on the PIM400-485 device.
3.
Pick the latest package.
4.
Click OK.
5.
Wait for 2-3 minutes while the firmware updates.
DO NOT unplug the HHD during this process.
Configuring the PIM400-485 Unit
1.
Connect the HHD to the PIM400-485 unit using the HH-USB cable.

The HHD must be in USB mode.
2.
The PIM400-485 unit will be displayed on the screen.
3.
On the HHD, select Device Options.
