For the center hole, use a 3/4 inch Drill Bit and drill approximately 3/16 inch into 
the Gel Coat to make a good space for sealant.

Use a 3/16 inch Drill Bit and drill the center of the 3/4 inch hole through the 
Transom.

Following the Template, ONLY use Sealant approved for under water use and 
only in marked areas.  Open areas are to allow for cooling.  Seal mounting feet 
and wire hole ONLY.

The Center hole gets approximately 1/4 inch bead of sealant, enough to fill the 3/4 
inch hole you drilled in step 4. 

8.

 

Slowly push the wire through the Transom and hold the light still while installing 
the 3 supplied screws, with approved sealant.  

9.

 

Go inside the boat to the area the wire comes through and seal the inside of the 
Transom with sealant as well. 

10.

 

To hook up the lights to power you must find a power source for the Canyon 
Light.  You can use 10V – 30V DC Neg- ground.   

 

CANYON LIGHTS MUST BE USED WITH THE POWER REGULATOR.  IF 
REGUALTOR ENCLOSED IS NOT USED YOU WILL DAMAGE THE LIGHT 
AND THE WARRANTY WILL BE VOID.

Hook the Lights Red Pos + wire to the Regulator (Out) Red wire and the lights 
Black (Yellow) wire to the Regulator (Out) Black wire with Butt Connectors 
(included).

Hook up the Regulator (IN) Red wire to a Pos + switched lead and the Black 
Yellow wire to a good Neg - ground.   

3.

 

Make sure to use the 3amp fuse (included) on the Pos + lead. 

 

Flush Mount with Spacer

 the wire is secured to the Transom entering the boat above the 

water line using a clam shell or an already existing hole.

Mount lights on the Transom with a Spacer requires a minimum of 2 inches 
between the bottom of the boat and the light. 

2.

 

Locate the mounting location using the Template and drill three pilot holes 
approximately 1/4 inch into the Gel Coat. 

3.

 

Using Marine Underwater Sealant, place a small amount onto the Gel Coat. 

4.

 

Run the wire up the Transom and enter the boat through an existing “Clam Shell” 
or drill a 3/16 inch hole above the water line.  Using a Sealant to seal the cable 
and use a “Clam Shell” to cover the wire. 

5.

 

Hook up electric to the Lights the same as in steps for installation above.

NEAR THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BETWEEN THE LIGHT AND THE 
POWER REGULATOR
