The stem and the headset must be lubricated
regularly. Do you notice that the handlebars
are not functioning properly or are you hea-
ring cracking sounds? Schedule an appoint-
ment at a service point.
Frontfork
Some Brinckers bicycles are equipped with a
suspension fork. This absorbs the shocks from
the road and thus, provides extra comfort. With
some models, you can set the degree of the
suspension. This can be done with the rotary
knobs on both sides of the fork. If you want less
suspension, turn the knobs clockwise. If you
want more suspension, rotate the knobs coun-
terclockwise. It is important that both knobs
have equal amount of pressure: meaning that
you have to adjust them on the same level. To
make sure this happens, first rotate both knobs
to point 0, secondly, adjust the knobs with the
same number of strokes.
Each suspension fork must be provided with
a layer of oil or grease to ensure a smooth
suspension. Should you, when brushing, com-
pletely have cleaned these parts, apply a thin
layer of oil or grease.
Lighting
Cycling in nice and sunny weather is great,
but of course sometimes you also have to
cycle in weather that is less nice, or in the
evenings. When doing so, it is important that
the lights of your bike are turned on.
Below you will find the types of lights that your
bike may be equipped with:
Head light

Battery light: to switch the lamp on or off,
press the ON/OFF button on the light

Headlight via e-bike battery: switch the
headlight on via the remote control on your
handlebar

Tail light
■
Battery light: to switch the lamp on or off,
press the ON/OFF button on the light
■
Tail light via e-bike battery: turn on the
tail light via the remote control on your
handlebar
■
CAUTION: Is the light not working proper-
ly? In case of battery light, check whether
the batteries still provide sufficient voltage.
In other cases, it may be a problem with
the wiring. In case you don’t see the
problem directly, we recommend that you
make an appointment at a service point to
solve this issue.
Does your lighting work on batteries? We stron-
gly recommend that you only use alkaline
batteries. These batteries do not leak and thus
reduce the risk of damage.
