• Washing Instructions
•
Remove the kettle from the base.
•
Clean the outside of the base and the kettle with a damp, soft cloth
or sponge. A bottle brush may be used to clean the interior of
the kettle.
•
Clean the inside of the kettle with dish detergent and rinse
thoroughly with water.
•
Do not use abrasive cleaners.
•
After cleaning, dry the kettle and the base thoroughly.
WARNING:
Never immerse the kettle or the base in water or
other liquids.
•
Take the lid off of the kettle.
•
Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers or similar tool to adjust the
three tabs of the kettle lid. If you push in the tab, the lid tension
will be reduced and easier to put on and take off. If you pull out
the tabs the lid will be harder to pull off.
•
After adjusting the tabs, replace the lid and remove it again to
see if the adjustment is correct.
•
Repeat the above steps until you have adjusted the lid to your
preference.
•
When mineral scale builds up in the kettle, it can affect tempera-
ture consistency and slow down heating time.
•
To ensure optimum performance, Brewista recommends
descaling the kettle when mineral build-up is visible inside the
kettle.
Note:
Vinegar may not effectively descale the kettle and can be
difficult to thoroughly rinse. Vinegar may also leave behind an odor
that could affect future use.
Brewista recommends using Cafetto™ Descaler.
How to use Cafetto™ Descaler:
•
Mix 1 packet Cafetto™ Descaler with 40 oz.
of lukewarm water.
•
Pour the solution into the kettle.
•
Bring the solution to a boil.
•
Let the vessel cool for 15 minutes, then
discard the solution.
•
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.

Unscrew the outer rim that secures the temperature gauge
in place.
•
Pull out the temperature gauge.
•
Replace with a new temperature gauge and re-assemble
the lid.
• Using the Kettle
•
•
Remove the lid.
• Fill the kettle above the Min fill line and below the Max fill line
(1.2 L) with cold water.
•
Replace lid with vent holes facing away from the handle.
• Place kettle on base.
• Press the On/Off switch down.
• Bring water to the desired temperature as displayed on the
temperature gauge.
