Press the START button. The START button will flash and the water will be heated to
the selected temperature. The temperature display will show the temperature of the
water in 5ºC steps as it is heated up.
4. When the selected temperature is reached, your kettle will make a sound and
automatically switch off. All lights will go out except the display which will continue
to show the current temperature of the water in 1ºC steps until it has fallen by 20ºC
below the temperature you selected.

To stop the kettle at any time press the START button.
Keep Warm feature
The keep warm feature will maintain the temperature of the water at 70ºC for 10 minutes.
To activate the keep warm feature press the KEEP WARM button. The button will flash
when your kettle is in the keep warm mode. To switch off the keep warm mode, press the
KEEP WARM button again.
Standby mode
Your kettle will enter standby mode to conserve power under the following conditions:
•
If you have been heating water and the water temperature has fallen by over 20ºC
after heating.
•
After 10 seconds of inactivity (no button has been pressed).
To reactivate your kettle, simply operate it as normal. For example, press the BOIL button
and your kettle will immediately start to boil the water.
Sounds
The sounds your kettle makes can be turned on or off as preferred. To turn them off,
press and hold the TEMPERATURE button then press the BOIL button. The display will
briefly show OFF. To turn the sounds back on, press and hold the TEMPERATURE button
then press the BOIL button. The display will briefly show ON.
Boil dry protection
If your kettle is operated with insufficient water a built in fail-safe device will automatically
switch it off. Should this happen, the display will flash

and the buttons will also flash.

Unplug your kettle and allow it to cool. When it has cooled down sufficiently the
safety device will reset itself.
•
Once the safety device has reset, refill your kettle with cold water and use it as
normal.
