Starting the watch
Your watch 5345 is a hand-wound mechanical watch.

. This position allows you to wind
the movement. To start the watch, wind it fully by turn-
ing the crown upwards until resistance is felt. A safety
system prevents breakage in case of over-winding, but it
is recommended not to force the crown beyond the point
of resis tance.
While winding, any slight movement of the dial plate or
the minutes-hand is normal and does not affect time-
keeping .
When the resistance is felt at the end of winding, it is
important to turn the crown downwards (at least ¼ turn)
in order to release the winding mechanism.
For optimal timing, it is recommended that you wind the
watch until a resistance is felt each day at the same time.
