Interlocking Restraint Belt:
The
VL917IB is equipped with an occu-
pant restraint belt. The belt assem-
bly is mounted to the lift handrails.
The receptacle is mounted to the left
(rear) handrail. The buckle
portion of the belt retracts for
automatic storage of the belt.
Interlock Feature:
Power lift
functions cannot be activated if
the restraint belt is not latched
(buckled). A green indicator
light is built into the pump
module that illuminates when
the belt is latched (see page 5
for further details).
When loading a passenger at
ground level, the attendant must
latch the belt after the passen-
ger has loaded onto the plat-
form. Standees must stand
inboard of the belt and grip the
handrails (if able) when on the
lift platform. The restraint belt
must
be latched whenever a
passenger is on the platform.

raised to floor level position and
the passenger has loaded into
the vehicle, the belt remains
buckled (allowing the platform to
be folded to the stowed posi-
