1. Gas piping installation must be in accordance
with the latest edition of ANSI Z223.1 and all
local codes. In Canada, the installation must be in
accordance with CSA-B149.1 and all local codes
that apply.
2. Check the gas supply to be sure that it is the
same as the gas indicated on the boiler’s plate.
Brute Mini JVS and JVH boilers, as shipped
from the factory, are certified to operate within
the altitude range indicated on the rating plate.
If a field conversion to a different altitude range
or different gas should be necessary, conversion
parts are available. Contact a Bradford White
representative or the factory for the correct part
numbers to order for conversions
Caution
Permanent damage to the gas valve will occur
if the following procedures are not followed.
Attention
Vous endommagerez la soupape de gaz
si vous ne respectez pas les procédures
suivantes.
3. Use the figures in
Table 6
to size the gas inlet
piping from the gas meter to the heater. Check all
local codes for compliance before installing the
heater.

Note:
These figures are for Natural Gas (.65 Sp. Gr.), and
are based on 1/2" water column pressure drop. Check supply
pressure with a manometer, and local code requirements for
variations. For LPG, reduce pipe diameter one size, but main
-
tain a 1/2" minimum diameter. A 'normal' number of Tees and
elbows have been taken into allowance.
