IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Please read the following instructions carefully before using the appliance.

1.   This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors or for commercial 

purposes.

2.   Disconnect the power plug from any power outlets when this appliance is not in 

use or before cleaning. Allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and 

before cleaning the appliance.

3.   This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons 

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and 

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the 

appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

4.   Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenanceshall not 

be made by children without supervision.

5.   Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Do not let it 

touch any hot surfaces.

6.   Test the appliance and the cable regularly for damage. If there is damage of any 

kind, the appliance should not be used. Do not attempt to repair the appliance 

yourself, take it to an authorized service centre.

7.  For safety reasons, a broken or damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an 

equivalent lead from the manufacturer, our nearest authorized customer service 

centre or a similarly qualified person.

8.   Keep the appliance and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp 

edges and etc.

9.   Use only original accessories. The use of accessory attachments not recommended 

or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.

10.  Do not use the appliance outdoors.

11.  Under no circumstances must the appliance be placed in water or any other liquid, 

or come into contact with liquids. Do not use the appliance with wet or moist 

hands.

12.  Should the appliance become moist or wet, remove the mains plug from the socket 

immediately. Do not reach into the water.

13.  Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.

14.  Caution the outer surfaces may get hot when the appliance is operating and can 

cause burns.

15.  The surfaces of this appliance get very hot during use. Touch the handles only.

16.  Put the unit on a heat-resistant surface or mat.

17.  In order to prevent heat from building up, do not put the unit directly underneath a 

cupboard. Ensure that there is enough space for the air to circulate around the 

appliance.

18.  Beware of steam coming out when you open up the grill during operation.

19.  Food items cooking in the Healthy Grill can burn, so never use the Healthy Grill 

near or below curtains and other inflammable materials due to the risk of fire.

20.  The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or 

separate remote-control system.

KNOW YOUR HEALTHY GRILL

USING YOUR HEALTHY GRILL

Before using your Healthy Grill for the first time

1.   The grill plates have a non-stick coating. Please do not use any sharp or pointed 

objects to avoid damaging the coating.

2.   Lightly grease the baking surfaces before the appliance is used for the first time. 

Use the appliance for about 10 minutes with the baking surfaces closed. Then 

wipe it down with a damp cloth.

3.   Please do not eat the first piece of food you make.

Using your Healthy Grill

1.   Put the plug into an earthed 220-240V mains socket. The right LED (Power) and 

the left LED (Ready) will light up.

2.   Adjust the temperature control to your desired heat. (1 is the lowest and 5 is the 

highest.)

3.   Keep the appliance closed while the grill is warming up.

4.   Open the cover and place the food items inside. Then close the lid gently. Block 

the handle with the hinge. The green control lamp will go off after a few seconds 

signaling that cooking is complete.

5.   Open the lid and remove the food items with a wooden fork or plastic spatula. Do 

not use pointed or sharp objects to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.

6.   The grill should always be closed during cooking.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1.   Pull out the mains plug and allow the unit to cool down.

2.   Clean the machine with a slightly damp cloth only.

3.  Do not use abrasive detergents.

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY DISPOSAL

   

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with

   

other household waste. To prevent possible harm to the environment or

   

human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to

   

promote the sustainable re-use of material resources. To dispose of your

   

appliance correctly, please contact or take it to your local refuse/recycling centre. 

Alternatively, contact your local council for information on your local re-use centre. 

Please make this product environmentally safe for recycling.

WARRANTY

In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your Brabantia appliance, please be 

aware that your Brabantia appliance has warranty.

Warranty exclusions:

The warranty will not be valid if:

1.   The product has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with the 

manufacturer's operating instructions provided with the product.

2.   The product has been used for any purpose other than its intended function.

3.   The damage or malfunction of the product is caused by any of the following:

   

- Incorrect voltage

   

- Accidents (including liquid or moisture damage)

   

- Misuse or abuse of the product

   

- Faulty or improper installation

   

- Mains supply problems, including power spikes or lightning damage

   

- Infestation by insects

   

- Tampering or modification of the product by persons other than authorised    

   

  service personnel

   

- Exposure to abnormally corrosive materials

   

- Insertion of foreign objects into the unit

   

- Usage with accessories not pre-approved by Brabantia

Manual.
