IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. Please read this instruction manual carefully before use and keep it for further
reference.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or cooking
unit in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5. The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
6. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
7. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
8. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
9. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, if the appliance
malfunctions, is dropped or damaged in any manner. The appliance must be
repaired by a qualified person, the manufacturer or its service agent in order to
avoid an electrical hazard.
10. Do not use accessory attachments, not recommended or sold by the appliance
manufacturer.
11. Do not use outdoors.
12. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or allow it to
touch hot surfaces.
13. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or a heated oven.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot substances.
15. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
16. Do not use appliance other than for its intended use.
17. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote control system.
18. This appliance is intended for household use only.
19. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce hazards resulting from
entanglement or tripping over a long cord. An extension cord may be used with
care. Ensure that the marked electrical rating is the same as the electrical rating of
this appliance. The extension cord must not be allowed to drape over the counter
or table top where it can be pulled by a person or tripped over.
