USAGE
y The unit is intended to hold temperature only; it is not to be used to reheat or cook.
y
To comply with current regulations, the food temperature per chaffing dish should display a temperature higher than 63°C.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
y
H05RNF cable with 2P+T plug provided with a 3 x 1.5mm2 appliance.
y
The appliance should be connected to an earthed 10/16 amp single phase socket and must be connected via a high sensitivity
differential device, and protected against electrical surcharges.
y
The appliance cannot be connected without the single phase plug.
y
Any modification releases us from all responsibility.
OPERATION
y
Make sure the emptying valve is closed and the appliance is not connected.
y Fill the tank with hot water up to the lines marked on the side of the tank (approx. 25mm water level).
y
Connect the 2P+T plug to the electrical power supply.
y
Adjust the thermostat (to increase temperature, turn the button to the right, to decrease, turn to the left). To keep foodstuffs
at a temperature above 63°C, set the thermostat to maximum. The indicator light lights up whilst the appliance is heating.
y
Water should be pre-heated to a minimum of 90°C before inserting any foodstuffs.
y
The chaffing dish can now be used.
EMPTYING THE TANK
y
Disconnect the appliance
y Leave to cool, then place the chaffing dish over a receptacle or sink.
y
Open the valve to empty.
IN THE EVENT OF MALFUNCTION
y
Nothing lights up when the appliance is switched on :
- Check that there is a power supply
- Adjust the thermostat to the maximum
- If the security thermostat has been triggered, the reset button is located on the underside of the chaffing dish.
y WARNING : Make sure the tank is empty before reversing the appliance.
y
In the event of a problem, contact your supplier or an approved After Sales Service
MAINTENANCE
y
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before carry out any form of maintenance operation.
y General information on stainless steel : The term “stainless steel” can cause some confusion. It is steel which “resists” to cor-
rosion in certain conditions.
Any type of stainless steel can be corroded:
-
austenitic, e.g. “stainless steel 304” also called 18/10.
-
ferritic, e.g. “F17” or “F18TNb”.
Resistance to corrosion of stainless steel results from the existence of a passive layer of chromium oxide which is renewed
spontaneously when in contact with the air. Any phenomenon interfering with the creation of this layer is likely to cause cor-
rosion.
This is why stainless steel surfaces must be regularly rid of miscellaneous contamination which may damage the level of resis-
tance of the passive layer, and also ensure the maintenance steps are observed. (Preparation to cleaning / cleaning / rinsing /
disinfection / rinsing / drying).
Regular maintenance with extended rinsing with water is the best method to renew and maintain the passive layer.
Each of the steps linked with maintenance presents risks of damaging the passive layer: using hard water / overdosing deter-
gents / using chlorine-based detergents / food residue on the products / insufficient rinsing…..
Whenever corrosion appears, the element or step having led to it must be identified.
