Fuel System

and may also be responsible for the cost of clean up,
which can be substantial.

Use rags or sponges to soak up fuel or oily waste,
then dispose of them properly ashore. If there is a
large quantity of fuel or oil in the bilge, contact a
knowledgeable marine service to remove it. Never
pump contaminated bilge discharge overboard.

The 170 Montauk is equipped with a gasoline fuel
system.

Please take time to read and understand

all the fuel related information and warnings
regarding gasoline and your boat, in the engine
owner’s packet.

Fuel System

Your boat is equipped with two (2) 6.6 Gal (25 L)
removable fuel tanks for a total capacity of 13.2
gal. (50 L) of fuel. The tanks are stowed under the
