conversions and existing buildings in almost all
federal provinces. Often these regulations even
apply to all common rooms in your home.
Why should I use a smoke
detector?
In case of doubt, a smoke alarm can save lives.
In Germany alone, there are about 6,000
serious burns every year. Approximately 80% of
all fire accidents occur in private homes. About
70% of affected burn victims are surprised
during sleep at night. A smoke alarm detects
and reports fire hazards at an early stage and
can thus prevent accidents and injuries.
What is the advantage of the
automated call?
No. The fire department is not called directly by
the Bosch Smart Home Twinguard. A call to the
fire brigade must always be made manually via
you. You can call the fire department directly
from the app in the event of a fire. The valid
emergency number for the respective country
selection is automatically stored.
What is the heartbeat
function?
Your Bosch Smart Home Twinguard
continuously carries out a self-diagnosis, if
something is wrong, you will be informed. The
Twinguard virtually checks its own heartbeat -
so you can always be sure that your Twinguard
smoke detector is working reliably. Up to three
times a day, from 19:00 to 01:00 the following
day, you can also see this "Hearbeat". This is
indicated by a blue light pattern on the
surrounding LED strip. A brightness sensor
activates the heartbeat at a defined light
transition from light to dark. If, for example, you
switch off the light in a room when leaving the
room or before falling asleep, your Twinguard
will show you that it continues to pay attention.
If a visual heartbeat has been performed on the
detector, the next visual heartbeat will be
performed on the detector no earlier than one
hour later and no more than three times a day.
You can also deactivate this visual function via
the Bosch Twinguard App. Don't worry, the self-
diagnosis will continue.
What does the pre-alarm
function mean?
The pre-alarm can be used to draw your
attention to an incipient fire by means of a
signal with reduced volume. It supports you in
taking early measures to eliminate the cause of
the pre-alarm and thus avoid a main alarm as
