1.8 Connection cable
Temperature resistance
Use cables with a thermal stability of at least 80°C (176°F) when operating the
motors in hazardous areas.
Bosch Rexroth offers ready-made connection cables for the motors, which are
checked to conformity according to the ATEX Directives and relevant DIN and EN
standards. For selection use the following documentation: DOK-CONNEC-CA-

Preparation
Before installing the motor, check whether the required information on the type
plate of the motor, such as
●
Equipment group and equipment category,
●
Explosion sub-group,
●
Maximum erlaubte surface temperature,
complies with the locally allowed conditions of use in potentially explosive at-
mospheres.
Check the components for visible damage. Damaged components may not be
mounted.
Before installation, make sure that the ambient conditions at the place of use,
such as ambient temperature, humidity and vibration or shock load, do not ex-
ceed the specifications in the motor project planning.
Attachment
MSK motors are manufactured ex works for flange mounting (frame size B05).
For details about mounting holes refer to section “Dimensions” in the project
planning manual “DOK-MOTOR*-MSK*EXGIIK3-PR
