There are separators between the keys preventing the user from accidental key
activation, as they separate clearly one key from each other.
The module is connected to the logic circuit board via the internal shift register
bus. The states of the pushbuttons are transmitted to the master control via
PROFIBUS DP. The LEDs are triggered via PROFIBUS DP by the master con‐
trol.

Equipment with 22.5 mm Switching Elements (Control and Indicator
Units)
The VAM 11.1/VAM 41.1 devices can be equipped with 22.5 mm operating and
display elements. For this purpose the front panel is provided with pre-milled
cut-outs. The switching elements can be wired application-specifically.
The rotary switch with spindle override is not available for the customized variant.
