5.2.1 BODAS DCT 1.0 / 2.0 (Display Configuration Tool)
The Rexroth software tool BODAS DCT (Display Configuration Tool) offers the user
a Windows-based user interface for the easy and customer-specific configuration of
• Device settings
• Graphic display pages (e.g. dashboard)
• Fonts
• Parametrization and diagnosis pages
• Menus
• Dialog boxes/pop-ups
• Alarm messages
• Video pages (DI3 video only)
Each display page can be freely designed by the user on a PC in terms of the
layout, arrangement and number of elements. Prior knowledge or knowledge of
programming is not required.
The BODAS DCT enables the easy integration of predefined or freely designed
items and bitmaps (such as customer logos, dashboard instruments, diagrams, etc.)
in the display faces designed by the user.
The dynamic input parameters based on the CAN protocol (J1939 and proprietary),
such as speed values, temperatures, and settings, etc. can be directly assigned to
the respective indicator elements using the BODAS DCT.
The entire definition and assignment process is graphically supported and enables
the desired input variables to be implemented and displayed within the shortest
time on the BODAS display DI3. The designed surfaces are shown on the PC during
the definition process, so that there is no need to download the configuration file to
the display.
The configuration designed by the customer is converted and flashed on the
BODAS display DI3 at the touch of a button.
5.2.2 BODAS DCT library
The library provided offers the BODAS DCT user the option to use a set of
predefined graphic elements to design the display pages, in order to create
a running system in the shortest time.
A list of available library elements is shown below:
• Dashboard instruments (e.g. temperature, rotational speed, speed, fill level)
in gauge or bar graph format
• Value fields
• Table elements
• Rectangles, lines, circles
• Pictograms
• Text fields
• Dialog boxes/pop-ups
