11 Cleaning and servi-
cing
To keep your appliance working effi-
ciently for a long time, it is important
to clean and maintain it carefully.
11.1 Cleaning the appliance

Clean the appliance after every
use.

Allow the appliance to cool down
before cleaning.

Never touch the appliance while it
is hot.

Always remove spilled liquids im-
mediately after the appliance has
cooled down. Burnt-on residues
and milk are difficult to remove.

Remove the pan supports and
burners before cleaning.

The removable parts are not dish-
washer-safe.

Never remove the support feet for
cleaning.

Allow the cleaning liquid to work
for a few minutes.

Clean the appliance with a sponge
or soft cloth.

Do not pour too much water on the
glass.

Dry with a soft cloth.

Install the pan supports and burn-
ers after cleaning.

Clean the control knobs
with soapy water and a
soft, damp cloth. Do not
pour water over the but-
tons.
Burner
The burners can be re-
moved for cleaning.
Clean the burners with
tap water, washing-up li-
quid and a brush. Do not
use sharp objects to
clean them, otherwise
the surface may be dam-
aged.
If the holes in the flame
distributors are blocked,
clean these using the
tool supplied. To do this,
remove the burner from
the appliance. Guide the
supplied tool through the
openings until the visible
dirt is removed.
After long use, the brass
burner parts become
darker due to natural ox-
idation. This discoloura-
tion does not affect their
usability.
