7. Maintenance
7.1
Maintenance
The EPS, like any industrial device, requires proper
maintenance at regular intervals.
The maintenance intervals refer to the operation of the
EPS in vehicle service canters for 8 hours per day. Re-
duce the intervals accordingly if the operating time is
extended.
We recommend portable test set 0 986 614 000 (availa-
ble from AA/SWS1) for performing maintenance work.
This contains all the calibrated measuring instruments
and accessories required for maintenance.
Customer service also uses flow-rate standards when
implementing the test service (checking the measuring
accuracy).

Check and, if required, adjust the
nozzle opening pressure
according to regulations.
Before doing so, check the pressure gage on the nozzle tester.

Pressure supply lines:
check that sealing cones and bores are in perfect condition;
if required replace with new pressure lines.

nozzle holders

and compare their respective flow rates.
