Constant Electronic Control (GSB 21-2 RCT)
The constant electronic control keeps the preselected speed
and impact rate nearly constant between no-load and load
conditions.
Electronic Torque Control/Speed Preselection (GSB
21-2 RCT)
To
drill with speed preselection
, set the se-
lector switch
(4)
to the "drilling" symbol. The
required speed can be selected with the
thumbwheel
(3)
; it can also be adjusted during
operation.
To
drive in screws with torque control
, set
the selector switch
(4)
to the "screwdriving"
symbol. The effective torque at the drill spindle
can be variably adjusted with the thumbwheel
(3)
even during operation:
I
= low torque,
III
= high torque.
The maximum speed is automatically adapted to the adjus-
ted torque.
If the preselected torque is reached during screwdriving, the
machine switches off; the application tool no longer rotates.
If the load on the machine is then removed with the on/off
switch
(7)
still pressed, the application tool continues to run
only at very low speed for safety reasons.
After briefly releasing the on/off switch
(7)
, the next screw
can be driven in with the same torque.
For
screwdriving without torque limitation
,
turn the thumbwheel
(3)
all the way to the
right. This setting is required when the torque
in position
III
is not sufficient.
Practical Advice
u
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
u
Only apply the power tool to the screw/nut when the
tool is switched off.
Rotating tool inserts can slip off.
After working at a low speed for an extended period, you
should operate the power tool at the maximum speed for ap-
proximately three minutes without load to cool it down.
To drill into tiles, set the selector switch
(2)
to the "drilling"
symbol. After drilling through the tile, set the selector switch
to the "impact drilling" symbol and drill with impact.
Use carbide drill bits when working with concrete, stone and
masonry.
When drilling into metal, only use sharpened HSS drills (HSS
= high-speed steel) which are in perfect condition. The
Bosch
accessory range guarantees appropriate quality.
Using the drill bit sharpener (accessory), you can effortlessly
sharpen twist drill bits with a diameter of 2.5–10 mm.
Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
u
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
u
To ensure safe and efficient operation, always keep
the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.
In order to avoid safety hazards, if the power supply cord
needs to be replaced, this must be done by
Bosch
or by an
after-sales service centre that is authorised to repair
Bosch
power tools.
