Assembly
Inserting/Changing the Battery
It is recommended that you use alkaline manganese batteries to operate the measuring
tool.
To open the battery compartment cover

, push the locking mechanism

direction of the arrow and lift the battery compartment cover. Insert the battery.
When inserting the batteries, ensure that the polarity is correct according to the illustra-
tion on the inside of the battery compartment.

Take the battery out of the measuring tool if you do not intend to use the tool for
a long time.
When it is stored in the measuring tool for longer periods, the battery can
corrode and discharge itself.
