Readjusting the Sliding Guides (see figure D)
Over time the sliding guides

can wear down, resulting in
play between the sliding guides and the drilling column. To
eliminate this play, you have to readjust the sliding guides.
Loosen all ten hex nuts

using an open-end spanner (size
13 mm).
Then tighten the threaded pins

evenly until the play is min-
imised.
Retighten all ten hex nuts

The sliding guides do not need to be replaced until the sliding
layer (red colour) is worn down. This is the case when the red
colour has disappeared and the backing material is revealed.
We recommend having the replacement done by an author-
ised customer service agent for Bosch power tools.
