The conversion kit is used for the following purpose:

To increase safety in the workplace when handling
the mounting device 0 986 613 400.

Conversion of the mounting device 0 986 613 400 is
thus absolutely essential.
R
Add-on to the mounting device 0 986 613 400 for re-
pair in the area of the solenoid valve, measurement
and adjustment of the remaining air gap and valve
spring force (see also section 4 "Initial commission-
ing").

3.4
Mounting unit 0 986 610 897
The mounting unit is used to generate vacuum
during assembly of the UI-P solenoid valve assembly.
The mounting unit is attached to mounting device
0 986 613 400 following installation of the conversion
kit 0 986 613 393 (see also section 4 "Initial commis-
sioning").

Ingress of particles from dirty compressed air can
result in malfunction. For this reason, only connect
the mounting unit to a compressed-air maintenance
unit with a water separator and filter having a pore
size of 0.01 μm (see also section 6 "Technical data").
3.5
Clamping devices
The clamping devices are used to hold and secure UI-P
when used with mounting device 0 986 613 400:

Clamping devices 0 986 610 313 for UI-P 2.x

The required clamping force is generated solely by
means of the "cross-shaped handle". Do not use any
mechanical aids for clamping. This could result in
damage to the clamping device or the UI-P.

In the event of damage or loss of any parts, the
respective clamping device must be replaced in its
entirety.
