When placing on the wall or for quick movements, the symbol
can appear briefly without any electrical cable being found in the
measurement area.
The following wiring is recognised as metal objects but not
as live electrical cable conductors:

Mains wiring in moist walls
–
Mains wiring which are not live
–
Three phase mains wiring (e.g. kitchen stove)
–
Shielded wiring (e.g. antenna cable)
The following wiring is generally not recognised:
–
Extra-low voltage wiring (e.g. telephone, door bell)
–
Mains wiring behind surfaces containing metal
“Allowable Drilling Depth” Function
Caution:
Use this function only for reinforcing iron in concrete.
When the depth of reinforcing iron in concrete is
to be determined after successfully location the
metal (see
“Search” Function
), move the unit to
the location of maximum bar indicator height.
Set the rotary switch

function.
The unit head is lifted. Hold the unit in position
and do not move it.

The range of the drilling depth indicator

is to 90 mm, however, detection
to this depth is not possible.
For each additional individual depth measure-
ment, first set the rotary switch
