Modulating weather-dependent regulation
A modulating weather-dependent regulator can be chosen in situations
where the users make differing demands of the room temperature, for
example in an office building or in a school building, and where there is
no reference room. A modulating weather-dependent regulator enables
the user to regulate the room temperature individually in each room by
means of a supplementary regulator, such as a thermostatic radiator
valve. See figure 3.
An important advantage of a modulating weather-dependent regulator is
that it can be positioned anywhere in the building.
The conditions for a modulating weather-dependent regulator:
• A ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat whose regulation principle is
programmable must be connected to the MBC 2;
• This ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat must be programmed as a weather-
dependent regulator. For this, see the user and installation
instructions for the ModuLine (
i
RT) thermostat;
• Each room with heating units must be provided with an individual
supplementary regulator such as a thermostatic radiator valve;
• The supply temperature sensor must be used;
• The outside temperature sensor must be used;
• A pressure differential regulator must be applied on the secondary
side of the open distributor for the protection of the system pump.
