Charging batteries
Place the batteries in the charger and then plug it in. Once the blue LED
lights up, the batteries are being charged. Completely flat batteries take
around 11 hours to charge. The charger automatically stops charging
after 13 hours (see charger manual).
Important information on battery charging
To ensure that the boso TM-2450 functions properly over a 24-hour
period, only use rechargeable batteries with the following rated prop-
erties: at least 1900 mAh; 1.2 V; NiMH, or disposable batteries (type
AA 1.5 V).
In addition to the two rechargeable batteries required for power supply,
the TM-2450 also has an internal battery to back up the programme
settings within the device.
Please comply with the following instructions to avoid loss of
programming and stored results if the internal battery loses charge:
Batteries that are short-circuited can become hot and cause burns as
well as charring damage to the device. Do not touch the the batteries
and the patient at the same time.
Insert charged batteries in the device even when it is not in use.
This keeps the internal battery charged at all times. If the power
supply to the internal battery is interrupted, the settings of the
boso TM-2450 will be lost after about 10 days.
Please replace the batteries in the device with a set of freshly
charged batteries before fitting the device to a patient.
