screws.

INSTALL OR REPLACE THE SAW BLADE

(Fig.ΙV): Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the power plug is pulled out before installing or replacing the

saw

blade. Release the movable guard (No.15) by pressing the pawl

(No.17) and simultaneously raising the guard so as to uncover the blade. Use the two

tools supplied: insert the one for 5 mm Hex key in the terminal

(No.16) of the driving shaft and the Hex Wrench in the blade's Bolt

(No.13), then loosen the

screw to clockwise direction. Remove the outer flange(No.14), remove the blade by sliding it out form the lower part of the head and install a new blade.

Ensure  that  the  blade's  teeth  are  oriented  in  the  direction  of  the  arrow  on  the  blade  itself.  Then,remount  the  outer  flange(No.14)  tighten  the  blade's

Bolt(No.13) firmly to counter clockwise by Hex wrenches supplied.

The movable guard (No.15) will return to the correct position automatically when the machine head is lowered, without having to reposition the pawl. Never

install saw blades which appear to be cracked.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE EXTENDED SUPPORT

 (OPTIONAL) (Fig. XI)

If you need to cut parts that protrude excessively from the work table, use the side bar support in order to prevent the part from turning over. Fit in the two

inserts extended support bar in the holes provided (No.36): the device can be inserted either on the right-hand or left-hand side of the machine, as needed.

Adjust the height of the table by turning the two inserts simultaneously and in the same direction.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE VERTICAL VISE

 (Fig. XI)

When cutting bars or pieces of alumin

i

um or wood always use the vise to hold the piece firmly against the angular bearings, thus avoiding movement during

cutting and, therefore,

j

ams which could damage both the workpiece and the blade. Insert the Vise (No.34 ) in the hole provided in the fence and lock it with

the

wing bolt( No.35). Screw the upper knob (No.33) to lock the piece to be cut.

DUST COLLECTION

(Fig. V)

The miter saw can be connected to a dust bag or an aspirator. They can be used to make the cutting operation cleaner, and sawdust easy to collect. To connect

the dust bag or aspirator, insert the aspirator pipe or dust bag, onto the sawdust extraction port(No.18). Take the dust bag off the tool when it is about half full,

open the dust-exhausting zip (No.19), and remove all dust.

ADJUSTING MACHINE

Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the power plug is pulled out before adjustment.

ADJUSTMENT OF CUTTING ANGLE-HEAD ROTATION

 (Fig. I)

This miter saw can cut both to the left and to the right. The preset positions are: 15* , 22.5* , 30* , 45*. To position the machine as above

,

l

oosen the wing

bolt(No.6), release the machine head by pushing the lever (No.5) downwards and rotate the rotary support by using the handgrip (No.3), the head will auto-

matically stop, each time the red index (No.4) is in alignment with the corresponding position indicate on the graduated plate. For all intermediate positions,

once the index is in alignment with the position on the plate, block the rotating bearing by means of the wing bolt (No.6).

ADJUSTMENT OF CUTTING ANGLE-HEAD ANGLE

 (Fig. V) (Fig. VI)

The machine head can be tilted to a maximum of 45* to the left. Release the locking handle(No.22) at the rear of the machine and tilt the head. For all other

intermediate positions. Align red index(No.20) on the rear of the head with the corresponding position marked on the graduated scale (No.21) of the swivel

joint. Adjust cutting depth limited screw (No.41) to desired cutting depth and secure setting with locking nut

.

Adjust limited screw (No.40) for 0* cutting,

(No.42) for 45* cutting if not accurate

a

nd secure setting with locking nut.

ADJUSTMENT / INSTALLATION OF BAR CLAMP

 (Fig. VII)

To cut work pieces of the same length, use the bar clamp supplied in order to avoid repeating the same measuring procedure more than once. Screw the bar

(No.24) into the hole in the fence and lock it with the wing bolt( No.25) : loosen the HEX SOC Screw in the clamp (No. 23) and position the clamp at the appro-
