Safe operation
■
There might be an unpleasant smell during the first few hours of operation of
the cooktop. This is normal for new appliances. Ensure proper ventilation of
the kitchen.
■
If you detect any visible damage to the appliance, do not switch it on and
contact BORA Lüftungstechnik GmbH.
■
If you encounter any malfunctions or other problems with the hob, or if there is
visible damage to its surface, switch off the appliance.
Disconnect it from the
electric power supply (remove fuse or switch off automatic circuit breaker).
■
Ensure that power leads of electrical appliances are not in contact with the hot hob
or pot. Contact with hot parts of the hob can damage the insulation of the cords .
■
The appliance is not designed for operation by persons of limited physical,
sensory or mental capacity. Only persons who have the experience and/or
skills required for the safe operation of the cooktop are permitted to use it,
unless they are supervised by a person with the necessary knowledge and
skills.
■
The appliance must not be operated in conjunction with an external timer or
remote control system.
Caution! Risk of fire/injury from burning !
■
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
■
Once heated, the surface remains hot even when the appliance is switched off
and cools down only very slowly to room temperature. Before cleaning the
cooktop, you must wait until it has fully cooled down.
■
If you observe any fumes or fire during operation of the appliance, immediately
switch it of at the fuse board.
■
When deep-frying food, you must at all times monitor the cooking process.
Overheating fat and oil are highly flammable! Never attempt to extinguish
burning fat or oil with water (risk of explosion!). Quench the fire with wet cloths
and keep doors and windows closed.
■
Keep the appliance away from pets. Risk of injury from burning!
