Troubleshooting

The design of the appliance ensures a trouble-free operation and a long lifetime.

If a malfunction stills occurs, then check if these may be the result of an operating error.

Possible cause

Remedy

The cooking hob cannot be turned on.

The power supply has been interrupted.

-  Check the circuit breaker of the appliance.

-  Using another electrical appliance, check

whether there is a problem with the power

supply.

The buttons are no longer reacting.

The child lock is active.

-  Unlock the control panel.

The buttons react very poorly during

contact.

The button surface is damp. You are touching the but-

ton surface with your finger tips.

-  Ensure that the area of the button is dry and

-  that you use the tip of your finger for the

operation.

The glass surface is scratched.

You are using rough, uneven cookware and/or an ag-

gressive abrasive cleaner or sharp metal utensils.

-  Only use cookware with an even bottom,

see

Selectiing the right cookware.

- See

cleaning.

A quiet humming is heard when a high

power setting is selected.

That is caused by the induction technology.

This does not refer to any error.

The noise should disappear as soon as the

power setting has been reduced.

Ventilation noises can be heard.

The appliance has a filter to prevent overheating of the

electronics. The fan will still continue to run for a few

seconds after the appliance has been shut off.

This does not refer to any error. Do not

switch off the power supply while the fan is

running.

Cookware doesn’t get hot.

The appliance cannot recognize the cookware. The

cookware is not suitable for induction, is too small for

the cooking zone or is not centered on the cooking

zone.

-  Use cookware suitable for induction, see

Selecting the right cookware.

-  Ensure that the cookware fits onto the cook-

ing zone and that it is centered.

 NOTe:

Should you still have problems with your device after following the steps above, please contact your distributor or an authorized specialist.
