6.8 Half-annual maintenance
6.8.1 Checking the oil level in the exciter housing
NOTICE!
Park the machine on level ground.
Clean the area around breather and drain plug.
Unscrew the bleeding screw (1) Ä Fig. 49.
Unscrew the oil level inspection plug (2) and check the oil
level.
The oil level must reach the bottom edge of the inspection
opening, if necessary fill in oil.
For quality of oil refer to the "table of fuels and lubricants".
Clean the oil level inspection plug and screw in with sealing
agent (e.g. BOMAG 009 700 16).
Screw the bleeding screw back in.
6.8.2 Servicing the V-belt
Remove the V-belt guard Ä Fig. 50.
