Replace a damaged V-belt.
The V-belt cannot be tightened manually. Al-
ways replace the V-belt, if the compression
measurement is exceeded.

Remove the safety cover (3) (Fig. 57).
l
Loosen screw (2).
l
Remove the front disc (1) from the centrifugal
clutch.
l
Take off the V-belt and replace it by a new one.
l
Attach the front disc (1).
l
Tighten the screws (2) (tightening torque:
35 Nm (26 ft.lbs)).
l
Reinstall the protective cover (3) and tighten
the screws (4) (tightening torque 15 Nm (11
ft.lbs)).
l
Install the top V-belt guard (Fig. 55).
