6.13 Clean the slurry filter

Fire hazard!
Gasoline is easily inflammable, do not spill.
When working on the fuel system do not use
open fire, do not smoke.

Do not inhale any fuel fumes.

With the fuel tap closed unsrew the fuel sludge
filter (1) (Fig. 53) and wash out in fuel.
l
Check the O-ring (2) for damage, replace if
necessary.
l
Turn the fuel sludge filter in tightly and mind
the O-ring.
6.14 Check the oil level in the ex-
citer housing
Caution
!
Park the machine on level ground.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the ”ta-
ble of fuels and lubricants”.

Clean the area around breather and drain
plug.

Unscrew the bleeding screw (1) (Fig. 54).
l
Unscrew the oil drain plug (2) and check the oil
level.
The oil level must reach the bottom edge of the
drain bore.
l
If the oil level is too low top up oil immediately.
l
Clean oil drain and bleeding screw and as-
semble both screws with sealing compound
(e.g. BOMAG part-no. 00970016).
