7. How to park

A.

If you want park the Bastard RDW, always keep account with other vehicles and

pedestrians. Park on a flat surface and never on a slope.

B.

As soon as the Bastard RDW has been parked turn the key and remove it. Always

secure your Bastard RDW with a lock.

8. Use of the brakes

Adjust Brakes:

As soon as you feel that the braking lever feels a bit loose, squeeze it firmly a couple

of times. This could re give the brake handle its elasticity.

When the brake fluid indicator lights up, contact our service center (see Bohlt.nl)

or an authorized mechanic who can change the brake fluid.

Replace brake disc:

As soon as you feel the brake doesn't function properly, you must contact our

service center (to see Bohlt.nl) or an authorized mechanic to replace the brake disc

or the brake plate.

Period of accustomization:

The disk brake has a certain accustomization period. We advise you not to squeeze

the brake too firmly, this can damage the brake pads and/or brake plate. Always

use the brake gradually to come to a complete stop. During the first week when

using the Bastard RDW and its brake you can hear some sounds, this is normal.

Attention:

Never use any lubricants near the brake disc, brake pads or brake caliper. Never

touch the brake pads, this could reduce the braking performance.

An hydraulic disk brake has a powerful braking performance. Before you use the

Bastard RDW we recommend you to practice braking several times in quiet

environment. Hydraulic disk brakes are considerably different from ordinary disk

brakes and require some practice. When braking too abruptly you could damage

something or hurt yourself.
