11. Place strut spacer under the lower strut mount 

and align the mounting holes.  Use the provided 

new M10-1.5 X 85mm Hex Head Cap Screws, Flat 

Washers and Lock Nuts to bolt the spacer into place 

between the lower strut mount and the lower con-

trol arm.  Make sure the bolts are installed with their 

heads on top, nuts on the bottom.

12. Use a 17mm & 16mm wrench to tighten the fas-

teners.  Torque the nuts to 30-35 ft/lbs.  

Do not over-

torque!

 

13. Use the 18mm wrench to re-tighten the upper 

strut nuts, and torque to factory specification.

14. Lift the lower control arm and re-connect the up-

per ball joint on the upper control arm to the spin-

dle. Tighten with an 18mm wrench, and torque to 

manufacturer specifications. If the ball joint spins 

while tightening, use a 7/32” hex key, inserted into 

the end of the stud to hold it in place while tight-

ening.

15. Re-install the steering linkage nut using a 21mm 

wrench. If ball joint spins while tightening, use a 

10mm wrench to hold the bottom of the tie-rod 

end.

16. Repeat steps 5-15 on the opposite side of vehi-

cle.

17. Re-attach the sway bar using the factory hard-

ware and bushings. Torque to factory specs.

18. Plug the three connectors back into the electric 

power steering unit and re-install the factory skid 

plate.

19. Re-install the wheels / tires, using a 21mm deep 

well socket to tighten the lug nuts to factory-rec-

ommended torque specifications.

20. Use the floor jack to lift the front of the vehicle 

off of the jack stands.  Remove the jack stands and 

lower the vehicle to the floor.  Torque all bolts to fac-

tory specifications.

21. Use an certified alignment professional to have 

an alignment done to factory specifications.
