3. CONFIGURATION
3.1
General rules for configuration via SMS
The configuration is done from instructions sent to the GSM control box (to the SIM card number inside) via SMS
from a mobile phone.
This SMS communication allows the full settings of the GSM control box to be configured from any location.
Other remarks:
- The command can be sent in lower or upper case,
- Spaces between words are mandatory and are represented as follows: = space
,
- After each instruction sent by SMS, the GSM control box sends an SMS response to the mobile phone to confirm
the programming,
-
It is imperative to attach the chosen PIN code (by default: #1513) at the end of each programming SMS,
otherwise the instruction is rejected.
In the following, the term “PIN code” refers to the PIN code entered in the SIM card and in the GSM box.
At start-up it is code “1513”, thereafter it corresponds to the PIN code you have entered.
3.2 General operation
3.2.1. BLOCK mode
The “BLOCK” mode prevents alerts from being triggered and avoids unwanted triggers during settings if the unit is still
connected to the master clock.
At the end of the configuration, it is therefore necessary to ensure that the “BLOCK” mode is deactivated.
Refer to sections
1.5.1.1 Using the “Stop/Reset” button
and
3.3.10.1 Activation and deactivation the “BLOCK”
mode
to activate or deactivate this mode.
3.2.2. Contact list and rights management
The GSM box can store up to 50 telephone numbers in 5 different groups (G1, G2, G3, G4 and G5). The GSM box
defines a location for each stored number (one of the 50 available locations) within its memory. For each of the 5
groups, one or more functions on the product are allowed.
To program the product, the following rights are established for each group:
- Group 1 (G1): ALARMSMS, NEWS
Numbers belonging to G1 receive notification SMS messages when an alert is triggered and SMS messages sent to
the GSM control by people who know the PIN code.
- Group 2 (G2): INCALL1, ALARMSMS, NEWS
Numbers belonging to G2 can trigger the A-alert, receive SMS notifications when an alert is triggered and SMS
messages sent to the GSM control by people who know the PIN code.
- Group 3 (G3): INCALL2, ALARMSMS, NEWS
Numbers belonging to G3 can trigger the B alert, receive SMS notifications when an alert is triggered and SMS
messages sent to the GSM control by people who know the PIN code.
- Group 4 (G4): INCALL3, ALARMSMS, NEWS
Numbers belonging to G4 can trigger the C alert, receive SMS notifications when an alert is triggered and SMS
messages sent to the GSM control by people who know the PIN code.
- Group 5 (G5): SMSFORWARD
The numbers belonging to G5 receive the SMS messages sent by the telephone operator on the GSM control.
To avoid malfunctions, a phone number should only be registered in one group.
Only one exception is allowed
for numbers that, in addition to the SMSFORWARD (G5) function, want more rights to the product. In this case, the
same number must be registered again in
one of the remaining groups
(G1 or G2 or G3 or G4) corresponding to
the desired functions.
A number stored in G5 and another group takes up 2 memory locations.
Combinations of groups outside the above defined programming scope are strongly discouraged.
