ATTENTION
Tyre removal not in compli-
ance with correct procedure.
Damage to RDC sensors.
Be sure to explain to the spe-
cialist workshop or authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer that the
wheel is fitted with an RDC
sensor.
If the motorcycle is equipped
with RDC, each wheel rim bears
an adhesive label indicating the
position of the RDC sensor.
When a tyre is being changed,
special care must be taken not
to damage the RDC sensor. Be
sure to draw the attention of the
authorised BMW Motorrad dealer
or specialist workshop to the fact
that the wheel is fitted with an
RDC sensor.
Removing front wheel
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its centre stand.
Disengage the ABS sensor
cable from retaining clips

Remove screw

and remove
the ABS sensor from its bore.
Mask off the parts of the wheel
rim that could be scratched in
the process of removing the
brake callipers.
ATTENTION
Brake pads pushed together
with brake caliper removed.
It is not possible to slip the brake
caliper over the brake disc.
