Headlight range and
spring preload
The headlight range gener-
ally remains constant due to
the adjustment of the spring
preload to the loading state.
Spring preload adjustment
may only be insufficient when
the motorcycle is very heavily
loaded.In this case, the head-
light range must be adjusted
to the weight.
If you are unsure
whether the basic
headlight setting is correct,
consult a specialized
workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Adjusting headlight
range
1 Headlight range adjust-
ment
To avoid dazzling oncoming
traffic, the headlight adjust-
ment can be corrected by ad-
justing the swivel lever.
A Neutral position
B Position with heavy pay-
load
Turn indicators
Switching on left-hand
turn indicator
Switch on ignition.
